My husband needed to write some macros to aid in a report he did weekly. You need to know that he is in his 70s. He had done programming in his much younger years but I guess because of his not keeping fresh in it, it took him two or three weeks of studying this but he finally learned how to do it and has written several macros to give the different reports that supervisors need.

I am trying hard to master MicroSoft Excel and this book sure answers a lot of questions.

This is a great book, with loads of useful information. At the same time, it wasn't what I expected from a book purporting to be for beginners. Even for myself, with a modest amount of experience writing simjple macros, it quickly devolved into a set of relatively complex macros that I might or might not be able to translate into my own work environment. At the risk of using an outworn metaphor, Mr. Alexander gave me a big basket of valuable fish, but did not get me started with fishing on my own.
